In the beginning

DH and I married in August 2003 and I stopped taking birth control in January 2004. I still remember how naive I was then...totally expecting to be pregnant within 6 months. If I'd known then what I know now, oh my, how things would have been different.

We tried on our own for a while, and then DH had a sperm analysis in 2005. It resulted in borderline motility, but his Primary Care Physician didn't feel it was low enough to affect anything. He said if we did the deed 10 days in a row, that we would get PG. Spoken like a true male, right? However, nary a BFP, and we burned ourselves out quickly.

In 2007, my father-in-law got very ill. He said to me to not worry, that he wasn't going anywhere until I had a baby. I told him that was a good thing, and that he would probably live forever in that case. He died in January 2008, and our hearts BROKE that he would never see his youngest son have a child.

I immediately went to my Primary Care Physician for a full hormonal workup and everything came back normal. She referred me to my RE and I called and got on the schedule.
