Here is our tentative timeline, based on TOM starting on 5/13 - which is about average for me.
5/13: Call the office, let them know TOM started. They will call in my prescription for clomid.
5/15: Blood test to check FSH and estradiol levels.
5/17-5/21: Take clomid every night.
5/18: HSG.
5/22: Blood test to re-check FSH and estradiol levels (layoff day, too ).
5/23: Start taking OPK tests (ovulation predictor test).
5/26 or day of positive OPK: Vaginal ultrasound to check to see how many mature follicles I have. Also, HCG shot (called a "trigger") which will cause the mature follicles to release the egg(s). If there are more than four, they will cancel the IUI because they really don't want you to get pg w/ more than 2-3 max.
We're really hoping for twins! Because my grandfather was a twin, I'm over 35, my BMI is over 30, and because of the clomid, my chances are increased!
5/27 or day after postive OPK: IUI - we go in at 8am. Scott does his thing. They take them and do a wash to weed out the good, the bad and the ugly. Then they immediately come and do the IUI. I'm expected to lay around and be lazy that day. No problem.
6/9: Blood test to see if I'm PG!
